In 1988 a company named OPCAL was responsible for the loss of 167 human lives in the Piper Alpha Oil Rig? Explosion off the coast of Aberdeen, Scotland. The company blamed it on the workers. That led to the Piper Alpha Public Inquiry, two volumes of research. That redefined safety measures for workers- not for the environment.

Has anyone considered that this? seems like such bafoonery because they did it on purpose. Why create an elaborate unprovable story when you could just look stupid, instead.
